They are friendly but very secular. often they don';t know about life outside their country and state. many do not care about learning foreign languages or exploring the world outside the USA. Often when they travel tey disrespect the people's cultures by not learning any of the language, being too boisterous and not learning about the culture too cconcerned with buying ten "I love france!" t-shirts

Generally, they are percieved as friendly, but sometimes to the point of being loud, obnoxious and know-it-all. Also, occasionally people will put you on the spot for political/government policy that you may entirely disagree with. Bush has done more to destroy perception of the U.S. and of Americans than any other president in my lifetime (eight of them in all)

generally, Australians tend to see you guys as arrogant, overweight, uneducated, but you know, just a stereotype, there have been some really great Americans.

I don't like Americans, the people, I find there all big-headed d**ks who only seem to care about themselves and their country and look down on everyone else.
I can't stand them!
