Well, okay.. im using Y! Answers for homework help again xD.. basically its.. a piece; mostly about what happened in Hurricane Katrina when those thousands of people got stuck in that building thingy for a few days..
Can someone just tell me the basics of what happened in general & what happened to the people in there??!?!

Haven't you watched any of the nautious coverage which has been almost unending on TV news stories?
Just how old ARE you? That was just a year ago... I don't understand how anyone could NOT know what happened during Katrina.
This is such a current news story that you should be able to do a Google search and get more information than you could ever use.
