Unfortunately it was going to happen eventually. When you have a dictator who is killing his own people and then goes on to try and convince the world that he's more of threat than he actually is, there is going to be a reaction. The war could have been planned so much better but it wasn't and now society, humanity, will live with the consequences. The upside is that we will always prevail and religion doesn't even come into it.

My thoughts about the war in Iraq. Bush-Cheney Chickenhawks sold us a bottle of snakeoil. They are still hawking the war as evidence we are safer from terrorist attacks. Sheer nonsense. Recent foiled terrorist plots were in the UK not Iraq. Upwards of 40 thousand Iraq civilians have died so we enjoy the illusion of safety? Morally indefensible. So who is more brainwashed, islamic militants or the American public? No bubbly foam leaking out of my ears from a recent cranium bath. How 'bout you?

If Saddam is guilty of the murders of all those Kurdish villagers, and all those disappearings etc that he's being tried for then its good that they got rid of him.

But personally I wish Blair had just left the Yanks to it and not got the UK involved because those muderous scumbags who blew up London on 7/7 last year were using Britain's involvement as an excuse for their crime.

I was against going to war in the first place and continue to be against it. The big issue today is how poorly the administration has mismanaged the war and their expectations. It is a waste of lives, environment, resources, and infrastructure. It will never be resolved to this administration's aims.

i think the actual war in iraq was not necessary, there were other ways of dealing with the problems of saddam and the chances to get rid of him and his henchmen were plentiful, it has now turned into a free for all thanks to our determination to get our hands on the oil,and there will now always be conflict, this should be passed on to other more sensible arab countries such as jordan and saudia arabia, we had the chance to stop all this when sadam invaded kuwait and attacked the kurds, we are in it to much and should pass everything over to prevent any more deaths of coalition forces.
