I had anaemia ,it wasn`t bad diet as I`ve always been careful what I eat ,I didn`t know I had it at the time ,I was working and feeling really tired,
My Friend said it`s not like you to lay down during the day ,so I went to the doctors and 3 hours later I was in hospital having a blood transfusion
I felt so much better and I hadn`t even realised I was ill

like i said earlier i have sickle cell anaemia and it is an inherited condition. it comes from people with Mediterranean background and can be dangerous if you fell pregnant to another person who has sickle cell. There is no cure for it just remedies to keep your iron levels balanced. If you can imagine a cup and saucer as a normal healthy blood cell on top of the cup are two matches if you will that hold the iron in, with sickle cell the cup is in the shape of a sickle like an arc so the matches on the top of the cup wont stay and you lose your iron. Hope that helps

I think your Q gas been answered already. Search the web for food containing iron and include them to your diet. There are many things that can cause anaemia other than diet. peptic ulcers or other internal bleeding can also cause anaemia. Also worm infestation in the bowel. Get a vitamin tonic containing iron. if that does not help, see your Doc.

I have always been borderline amemic and the doc says its due to a lot of things. I used to be totally vegan but now eat some meats to boost the iron that I need so desperately.
I also take a supplement for this and it does help.

I had anemia due to my pregnanices which mean I didn't eat enough Iron foods i.e spinach, brocolli, brussels e.t.c Red meat. Not necessary means you have a bad diet it could mean you bleed to much i.e periods, or your body don't produce enough iron

It doesn't necessarily point to a bad diet as there are some illnesses/diseases that affect you so that your body can't actually absorb the goodness from the food you eat.

...yes, my MD hubby tells me that I developed anemia because I don't eat enough feminine friendly vegetables, such as spinach, kale, broccoli, beets, sweet potato, Swiss chard, mustard greens...you get the picture.

I have only had it in or after pregnancy. You can get it if you have bad periods.
If you do have it pop to boots and get some 'spatone' super stuff.
