Maybe they should put an Asterik by his name also to show that this player achieved this feet in a clean non-doping season!! has anyone tested that guy anyway!!!...and why are they still pitching to him!!!

No asterisks. They should expunge McGwire, Sosa and Bonds from the record books completely and restore Maris to #1 on the list. If Howard passes him, then he's the Home Run King, assuming he agrees to every drug test (including Human Growth Hormone) available.

I do not see the issue with Mcgwire. He admitted to taking andro-stack, which at the time was a LEGAL substance in MLB at the time. So, he wasn't abusing steroids, he was using a LEGAL substance to help his game and there is nothing wrong with that.

Back to the subject. Yes, I would love to see ryan howard break records. He's been great since college at Southwest Missouri State University now (Missouri State University). Teams are now walking Howard in situations. A couple nights ago a team Int. walked him twice. Once to load the bases. Plus, I really hate Barry Bonds so taking his name off anything I am more than game for that.

If he were to reach 62, he'd be the only legit person to do so since Maris. But still, take in mind, he only has 25 intentional walks...people are still pitching to him. In part, that makes the pitchers more stupid than Howard good.

Much as I would love to see Bonds and other dopers removed from record books it wont happen. If you do that how can you say they didn't hit some of their HR's off pitchers who also took steroids!? A simple * will suffice I'm afraid. There are other problems as well. If you remove their records do you also removed how they effected games?, season? championships? Sadly ther records will remain we can only Hope for the * or that someone like Howard breaks it.

Ryan Howard is a beast. Period. And he has been a beast for a long time now. McGwire became a beast in the mid-nineties. Bonds became a beast in the late nineties. Sosa became a beast in the nineties. Roger Maris is the true home run king, for now. Without a doubt in my mind, Ryan Howard will break the record. I would like to see him agree to every drug test to prove he is clean and to become the true home run king.

Ryan Howard for NL MVP!

Yes, I mean he just has to hit 5 more to tie the all time record without steroids.

How do you "know" this is a CLEAN NON-DOPING season? They cannot test for HGH. As far as why they are pitching to him...

SHHHHHHH, he's on my fantasy team!!! I'm trying to WIN this thing for the 4th straight year.

All I have to say is that Bonds is the worst thing to happen to baseball.
