I'm happy with the way I look because I have DECIDED to be !! It's all about choice, and accepting ourselves for who we are, what we look like etc..
God, if I actually started thinking about things, I would find so many things that would bother me, that I would waste my life trying to change them, and then I would be cheating myself from the precious gift called " life" !
I don't consider myself beautiful, but the fact that I'm not disfigured, not morbidly obese, and not handicapped in any way ( like so many other unfortunate people out there ) makes me truly grateful that I look the way I do .
Loving yourself means that you are happy with who you are, and being vain means you're not and you can't accept the fact that you may have a hair out of place, or a crease in your clothes .

I have always been happy with myself - I have never used chemicals on my hair and am happy with the strands of grey now showing through. My looks are still great and my figure fantastic. I consider myself well nice. If that's being vain I don't give a damn. I love me because I have loads of love for others - I have the right.

Jealousy is a bad thing - some women think they are better than others - I don't think I am. I've seen some very beautiful women and I don't mind telling them how good they look because they obviously deserve praise for taking care of themselves, but you will always get the few that are jealous. Shame on them poor things but that's only due to lack of confidence in themselves.

When they handed out the looks, I must have missed the line up! But I am completely comfortable in my own skin, now, and do not begrudge anyone else who may be considered gorgeous.

I've known beautiful women who were aware of their beauty, and DIDN'T try to capitalize on it to get them anything they wanted. These are the TRULY beautiful people!

The ones who know they are gorgeous, and use their looks to get them things they do not work for, are the ones to steer clear of. These are the ones that are ugly inside. And there are a lot of these chimeras in the Music and Film industries.

Lots of women are happy with the way they look. They know they look good, because men are all over them, vying for their attention. Unfortunately, it doesn't last long, and they get even more insecure as they age. Vanity is something completely different. It is the obsession with trivia, like the lines here and there, or the slight smudge of the make up, or the wrinkle in the dress etc. It is just a sign of insecurity, not beauty.

Im happy with the way i look. Im not beautiful. Average looking I suppose....would I be classed as vain saying that? I dont have the perfect eyes, or cheek bones or mouth. My figure is 'growing out of its self' now...got bit where i'd rather not have then but thats age for you. I love me just the way I am........

There's loadsa girls/ women who say they hate the way they look but u kinda know they're lying... I mean, theres no reason not to like yourself for what u look like its just people judging themselved against other people. at my school i think im one of the only girls in my year who appreciates what they look like, im happy wit what iv got but no-one else seems to be. i dont count thinking your pretty as being vain.

i think the difference between loving yourslf and being vain falls with how much you do to urself to love yourself... e.g make-up.

I am me, and I have the right to love myself as much as love a family member or friend. I am the most special person in my life because if I wasn't me I woldn't be here.

I am not beautiful but accept the way I look, attractive.
I know women who have no beauty but by golly what wonderfyul people, they love themselves they shine, and everyone loves them.

I am not beautiful in the 'social' understanding, I am overweight and on the short side but I think I am a beautiful person, I am kind, loyal, good humoured and happy.... I am happy with who I am and what I have in life, in my eyes that is the true beauty in life.

There is a difference between being CONFIDENT and being CONCEITED. Confidence is outgoing, happy, and satisfied about your appearance. Conceited is being OVERLY satisfied about your appearance, and flaunting in it a way that tells others you are better then them. It is hard to explain the difference between the 2.

It is not about the knowledge of being good looking- it is all in the execution regarding your opinion of self.
