I use GOOP to get out all the stains..It works better than
spray n' wash or any other stain remover out there. You can
find it in the automotive section at the store. It's a hand cleaner, but works really well as a stain remover.

I had a shirt that had oil on it and it had been washed and dried
3 times. I put GOOP on it and the stain actually came out. I don't
really eat ketchup much, but I'm sure it would work for that too.

You don't have to wear the evidence of a great hotdog forever. Here's how to get ketchup and mustard out of your clothes.

Steps:
1. Remove excess mustard or ketchup by scraping with a dull knife or blotting with paper towels.

2. Sponge stain with cool water.

3. Gently work a mild detergent into stain.

4. Rinse in cool water.

5. Apply a laundry stain remover.

6. Wash and air dry.

Tips:
Avoid exposing the fabric to heat until the stain is completely lifted.

Treat dry-cleanable fabrics professionally.

Mix a solution of 1 tbsp. ammonia and 2 cups water if stain persists, and blot on spot.

The color doesn't matter, it's the fabric. If it's a favorite jacket, I'd take it to the drycleaners. If it's cotton I'd try a stain remover and follow the directions on the bottle.

From experience, I would take it to the dry cleaners & ask their advice. It's very easy to try DIY remedies & end up in a worse mess than when you started. Good Luck!
