If things are going well in ones life will the eventually turn for the worse? And conversely if badly will things only get better?

If you believe in multi lives it is possible for a soul to live out all possible scenario which is a pretty terrifying and wonderful thought. There are some incredible horrific and blissful possibilities.

Just take a minute to think about it. You could be the girl abducted abused and buried alive in a box or you could be a famous movie star with looks money, fame, health, intelligence, etc. These are just two finite examples. The possibilities are endless.

The Hindus have a saying, "Don't drink an ocean of poison in imitation of Shiva." I think I am starting to understand.

I am glad you understand because I am still trying to figure this one out at my age! Life experience has taught me that you live with both good and bad equally and yes, they do balance each other out. However, if you insist on keeping a positive outlook on life, accepting both good and bad for what they are to you at that given moment, you learn to be flexible, open minded, and happier taking life as it comes.

There is no God in the traditional sense of meaning, but there is a Higher Power and that is how balance is maintained.

Near Death Experience research as well as past life research (which includes the Interlife or period in-between incarnations) indicate that there is no cosmic justice for the soul when corked up in a body and separated from The Light.

Living a selfless life does not ensure a pleasant future incarnation. But it does result in the soul evolving, which is extremely important for finding long-term happiness on the Other Side.

The discarnate dimensions are the true home of the soul, not the flesh. It has always been that way.

Cosmic justice is manifested fully when the soul leaves the flesh by its ability or inability to ascend into The Light Of The God Force, which many Near Death Experiencers have reported "at the end of the tunnel." That Light is not just some vague metaphysical symbolism or a hallucination stemming from a brain dying. The Light is the energy of Spirit. It is the nonliving and infinite Higher Power - governed by Universal Law that cannot be changed - that everyone is judged by when they return to the Primary Reality.

After death, everyone becomes aware of how their actions in life affected those in their sphere of influence. All karmic debts are addressed. In order to ascend to a spiritual plane, the soul must strive to counterbalance all significant karmic debts. Those who do not take responsibility for their actions cannot escape the fate of being surrounded by people that are just as spirituallly retarded as they are. In a word...HELL.

Only those who strive to live by The Golden Rule and who serve others have the potential to ascend - after death - to a discarnate dimension (that is at least basically spiritual - in the Mid Realms where the religious heavens are located) and find a certain degree of long-lasting peace in The Light.

Solomon says "The same destiny ultimately awaits everyone, whether they are righteous or wicked, good or bad, clean or unclean, religious or irreligious." And later, "It seems so tragic that one fate comes to all. That is why people are not more careful to do good. Instead, they choose their own mad course, for they have no hope. There is noting ahead but death anyway. There is only hope for the living. For as they say, 'It is better to live a live dog than a dead lion!'" This comes from Ecclesiastes 9 in the Bible. This is part of a discourse on meaning where he shifts back and forth between a human view and a divine view. It's really quite brilliant and I definitely suggest it as an accompaniment to your search.

The ills of the world are caused by it's being out of balance--because of sin (man disobeying the Creator). But karmic balance, the Hindu concept breeds superstition, by it's very nature.

So I would say that all things have to be resolved (and will be at some future time), not balanced. Proper resolution will bring about balance, but balance is a result and not a means.

We all have some possibility in our lives.
We are all born and no matter what has happened in life we will all eventually die.
Some religions focus on the events which happen in life (whether you have been good or evil) while others focus on how this life contributes to the next.
There is balance, to be sure but in the vast universe which we know and beyond, what significance is there of each life in the larger picture?

I don't believe in reincarnation, and I don't believe that all possibilities will happen. I do think that their is balance in some things, but not everything. A person's life has high and low points. Without having the low points, there would be no high points, it would just be a boring line.

Well I kow there is no balance in nature it is a constant surviveor fight going on. To be or not to be? Only the strongest specious survive. Balance is something people create but it really does not exhist in real world. Life is not fair and far away from a fairy tale. Like the best diamonts can be found in Africa but people who find them are really poor.
