That is a great observation -- I never even knew what the guys from Prodigy looked like (and the CD was stolen from me years ago).
Someone else posted about AB directing an REM video. He was the Director of Photography for The One I Love.

No. They are 2 different people. Alton Brown did direct REM's video. Unfortunately, the name of the video escapes me.

OH MY GOD!! The resemblance is definitely there! But, no, I'm pretty sure Alton's not a hardcore rocker and Kieth's not a cooking guru. :-)
