I agree.
What I don't understand is why anybody would want to be ghetto?
It used to that your goal was to raise yourself up out of the "ghetto".
It is one thing to acknowledge your humble origins and quite another to glorify "the ghetto".

That's funny! They crack me up too!
I am a white 35 y/o male.... I grew up in the projects around Cincinnati. I guess that's the ghetto.... These goof balls wouldn't last and hour there. I only knew of another white kid there for about 3 yrs. Aside from him, me and my brother were the only ones... It didn't matter, we didn't "act" ghetto, we were ghetto!

I'm white. I'm proud of my history. I like some hip-hop music and I try to speak the language of my kids and their friends. Is that what you mean by "act all ghetto"? I'm older (almost 50) and I like young people. They have great energy. I enjoy their company. I like being able to understand the "language of the day" like my parents did when I was young. They talked about the things they thought were "groovy" and listened to music with me. It was a gift to me and it kept them young. I live in todays times with my kids. You don't have to be "from the ghetto" to like hip-hop or rap.

I once saw this white chick on a talk show. She was doing exactly that. You should of seen her. She had the lingo and gestures just right.
Then this educated black woman stood up in the audience and asked her "Excuse me miss but what is wrong with your neck?"
You should of seen this chicks face!

The kids sometimes call them Whiggers, at least when they can stop laughing long enough to talk.

It's just a trend, and by acting that way, people hope to be accepted and embraced.

I've seen it too, and I hate it, just be white, and be proud of it.
