The home pregnancy tests are relatively accurate, but a blood test would be recommended. The home tests can give false negatives (saying you're not pregnant when you are) because you might just have a smaller amount of pregnancy hormones than it can read. If it said that you were pregnant you'd know for sure because you can very rarely get a false positive with those things.
You should test every three to five days, if you want to find out at home. Otherwise, check with your doctor where they can give you a test for free.
Also, a symptom to watch out for is sore breasts. The first sign (in many women) of pregnancy, even before the home tests can be accurate, is soreness and slight swelling. That's how I found out that I was pregnant, even before my test gave me a positive!
Good luck!

The home tests are pretty accurate - I would say try another one in a few days if it turns out negative then you are most likely not pregnant. Typically once you get the negative and realize you aren't you will start your period in a few days. If you are under alot of stress or excercising more than ususal that could cause you period not to come as well.
For only 8 days late - you physical symptoms seem psychosematic (you think you are pregnant so you are making yourself feel that way) or a little symptom is turning into a major symptom.

negative results on a pegnancy test aren't as reliable as a postive one, I would wait a little while longer, to see if you start, (your period could just be a little screwy this month) if it doesn't start then I would go for a blood test. Have you been under any kind of stress? that could also cause the missed period and the fatigue. good luck!

You'd rest better after a blood test, because they can detect a lower amount of hormones.
Its probably more likely that you're just skipping a period, or changing your cycle. Its perfectly normal.

I am two weeks late, dear and i just went to a doctor. He took a urine test and scan my womb. According to him, i am not pregnant. However, he told me to go back in two weeks' time if i still don't get my period.
So, I guess you'll just have to wait. Good luck!

You should make another test and consult your doctor. It is better to still get a second opinion on the matter.
