I would give this movie 10/10.
It was beautiful, dramatic, violent, epic and personal at the same time.
I dread to think what they did to some of the little children to make them cry like that though!

Great movie!! City of God is a film based on real-life accounts, with Brazilian slum settings called The City of God. It depicts the growth of the crime in this Rio de Janeiro's suburb, between the end of the 60's and the beginning of the 80's.

The performances are astonishing as they are authentic, understandably, as the child actors were recruited from the favela streets in which the film is set

City of God is already a contender for the best film of 2003 from Future Movies and Fernando Meirelles & Katia Lund are names that you will definitely hear again.

Am rating it 9!!
