When you formatted your hard drive and reinstalled windows you deleted all of the drivers for the different devices such as your external hard drive, on board sound, etc. Find your driver cd's for the various devices.

Well your sound card could be bad or you just might not have the driver for it. Creative cards do this alot. If you know your sound card make and model then go to the manufactureres website and download the driver for it. if not then download astra 32

http://www.astra32.com/files/astra32setup.exe

and it will tell you the make and model of the card.

As for your mass storage device you may need to update windows if you just did a reinstall and then you may be able to recognize the drive. otherwise you might not have the chipset driver for the mainboard installed and the USB or 1394 is not properly installed either.

in case you're attempting something like this, you'll both heavily decrease to rubble homestead windows or the video games received't artwork. possibly both. it truly is uncertain that the video games themselves are what's making your device gradual. They should not be utilising any reminiscence except they're operating. There are some video games that load utilities at startup that could try this. finally, homestead windows basically bogs down as records get trashed and the registry receives hosed besides. the first ingredient i might want to objective is the device record checker: initiate>Run, kind in sfc /scannowe2a7106f1cc8bb1e1318df70aaa3540 you'll want the homestead windows disk contained in the stress. If that would not do a lot, then i might want to objective disabling startup junk and word how that helps: initiate>Run, kind in msconfige2a7106f1cc8bb1e1318df70aaa3540 seem lower than the startup tab. try unchecking something you word that could be linked with the video games first. you'll want to restart for any alterations to take result. in case you nevertheless favor to bypass the video games to a distinct stress to free up storage, an straightforward decrease and paste with the help of explorer will do it.

If you have a named computer ie Dell, HP, IBM etc. go to their website and search for your model. Many sites have all the original drivers for their computers on the site and you download and install in the normal way. If not named computer but perhaps home built for example, go to each individual site for sound card, video card etc. and download latest drivers for your OS. There are also sites (Google Search videocard drivers etc.) who will scan your computer, tell you what is on there and give info re drivers required. Bit nasty this but take note of driver names, Google those names and you will be able to d/load for free. Hope this helps.
