If you can't comfortably talk while running/walking, then you are working your body too hard.

If running with friend, usually I don't talk 'cos it will break the breathing rhythm, kinda be out of breadth and sound awlful with all the gasping.
Unless it is more of to catch up with each other happenings, then we'll jog slowly to talk. Of course the distance will not be that much be you can get a longer time workout with companionship. Will be boring if we don't talk at all for all our runs right?

Usually, we start out talking, and talk less the longer we run. Not enough air to talk after a while. This happens faster as I get older. Sighs.

I put on my MP3 player and run 10 feet ahead. On purpose. I hate chatty people.
