It's getting more like American TV on some of the satellite channels. They just get the opening credits out of the way and cut straight to an ad break!
The TV stations would never be able to put the ad all together at the end of a programme as the advertisers wouldn't wear it. They want us to be annoyed, they don't want us to move away from the TV as they wouldn't be seen. What adverts do you remember most, the odd really good one and ten times as many really bad ones.
I've noticed that a lot of channels belonging to the same company schedule all their ad breaks together so you can't even channel surf without getting annoyed.
At the end of the day, commercial TV is just that. It needs the ads to survive. Unfortunately a lot of channels now cannot say that the ads pay for the quality TV programmes. There must be an awful lot of revenue from selling ad time so why is the quality so sparse? The TV companies treat us like mugs now a days with all the repeats they show.

I tell you what, you have not got a clue what real TV is like! You think brit Tv is bad because of the adverts, try watching Spanihs TV, its appalling! Full of bad adverts, and very long breaks for them, 5 minutes is the norm! The programmes are rubbish too, all the soaps are south american imports which make Crossroads look like an oscar winning show! They are addictive at time,s for the sheer audacity that the networks actually pay for them! Yes, we have no TV licence fee, but it shows! Its the ads that pay for the high quality TV you are lucky enough to receive!

I hate adverts.
Anyone who says they are "better than the programmes" is on drugs.
They are all **** and irritating. Worst ones are the Halifax ads (that stupid Howard bloke assuming we all have loads of money to invest in his crap bank), Asda shrill voiced little sprogs and cillit bloody bang!
And the endless ads for personal loans and "debtbuster" loans. Does anyone else think this is a really sick way to exploit people who have fallen on hard times, encouraging them to get into more debt and possibly put their homes at risk?
I prefer to watch BBC because there are no shitty ads. Sky is infuriating - every 15 minutes theres an ad break!

Some of the ads are better than the programmes, I love the new 1664 beer one with the bloke trying to find a chair to sit on and ends up modeling in a life drawing class, brilliant!

At least these ads are free to us. I hate paying almost $10 for a movie ticket and then you have to sit through these stupid ads in the theatre, before you get to see the movie. We can see them at home for free!!!

Sky is the worst for it, during "24" there is adverts every 15mins, its really annoying.
Adverts should be shown throughout the night only.
