I stand out from the crowd because I am open to the people in the crowd. I really look at them and see them with approval (not like their monkeys in the zoo). I see people as interesting individuals that I would like to know, and it shows in my expression.
When people feel accepted, they are drawn to the person. I don't "need' people and I have no reason to use them for any purpose of myself. Neither do I feel like I need to ingratiate myself with them, to prove I am "worthy" of their attention/respect.
I like myself. And, even if sometimes I go out dressed in my clean-up/project clothes, barely combing my hair, I am still open and interested in people. I enjoy it when they talk to me, and I like sharing things with them.
Just seeing and appreciating people makes me stand out in the crowd. I am not lost in my own thoughts, afraid of what someone might think, afraid to be myself - I believe all those things only leave you lost in the crowd.

It depends
If I have a Yellow Shirt on I will stand out in a crowd
if I am lost in a crowd it probably is because I have nothing that makes me interesting or to even be noticed
On the other hand if I want to be notice I will say
excuse me people may I please have your attention

People stare at me everywhere I go, why I stand out I have no idea.
I have a real problem in a crowd, especially in a closed in area. I start with nervousness, anxiety, sweating, then I can't breath. Each time someone bumps into me it feels like I'm going to pass out. I must get away fast because I do stop breathing.

I stand out in a crowd due to my height - or lack thereof. I'm only 4' 11" - ie very short and when I'm in a crowd everyone notices me - the tiny one under everyone else. Used to bug the heck outta me as a child but now I'm older I'm not bothered anymore - just take it in my stride.

it depends on if I want to be seen......
usually I opt to get lost....but there are certain things one can do to stand out. One could act differently than everyone else....laughing and flirting tends to make one stand out and definately the clothes you are wearing can be attention getting....and that depends on the kind of attention you want. Dressing slutty will get a girl lots of attention in a bar and perhaps more than she bargained for....etc....
