there is about 20 to 30 feet between the room that will be the child care room and the boiler room

i would prefer that someone that knows the in. state guidelines for this to answer. not someone who is clueless about what a boiler system is and just wants to make rude coments. a lot of large buis. and schools etc. have a boiler system for thier heating. i have been searching on line about this ? and cant find an answer. i am liscenced and dont need snide remarks about me being around children

You will need to block of the area when you are running the boiler. There are other laws you must be aware of though. You can only have 5 children to a person. SO if you have 10 kids you are taking care of you need two day care workers. There are also other things to look into.

Now, I will ask just 1 question... would you want your 2 yo near the boiler room all day? Point made. Don't ever do anything with children that you wouldn't want your own child doing.

I would consult insprectors of daycares in your state. Safety comes first with children.

Well, in order to meet code you would have to do so much renovations that it would probably be cheaper to just add on a new room to your house.
