I bought a granite cleaner, but does it disinfect the granite like an all-purpose cleaner would? What do you recommend?

Clorox Spray for kitchen and counter-tops. Or Awesome Orange if you are worried about it bleaching. If the granite cleaner says it disinfects then it should be fine. Otherwise use something else that you are comfortable with.
Good Luck

Here's a great link that tells what the manufacturer says to do

Part of what it says is"
My granite installers recommend using 50% rubbing alcohol to disinfect and shine countertops. According to them, other cleaners may damage the sealant and you may have to re-seal your countertops more often. I have many friends who don't worry about what they use and their granite countertops are still fine.

Before you do this be certain your counters are sealed!

Use anti-bacterial Windex or bleach diluted in warm water.Simply dilute the bleach with warm water and wipe onto the surface of your Granite countertops. It may cause some streaking or hazing. You may need to use a damp cloth to remove the haze.Dry completely with a dry cloth.

An all purpose cleanser with clorox, watered down, about 50-50. After that you will have to buff with a dishtowel to make it shine.

Believe it or not all you need to use is white vinegar. It acts as a disinfectant. I hope this helps.
