only the white on the inside can get dirty, but if you just wipe it off every once in a while it will stay clean but if you don't then it will get dirty. On the outside it stays pretty clean but I would still wipe it down, but the black macbook wouldn't get so dirty. And I have a ibook and I love it the only concern is that some programs don't run with apples operating system.

First appearance is important to me. I have white laptop now for 4 years and it still nice and like brand new laptop. It just you have to wipe off the dirt everyday and keeps it in the laptop bag after using it to prevent from dirt and dust.

You also can buy the cleaner spray for laptop..

Second, It must be a good one. My lap is Intel Centrino...always wanted the best and the time i bought this laptop was the price was pretty high and now it has been lowered.

Battery important my friend...My laptop's batt not so good. It cannot stand for even half an hour. The batt will die...i just pluck the cable wire to the socket and use the laptop...it just the weakness of this laptop. So check it out the batt also ok.

Everything fine.....still love my laptop....

Here are product reviews from PC magazine for the ibook and macbook.

http://www.pcmag.com/products/0,,qn=Laptops+Notebooks+Apple,00.asp.

They look kinda average according to the editor's ratings but the prices are way high.

I don't care about the color.

My reason for buying those is for the purpose of avoiding viruses.

The PC is subject to over 60,000 viruses.

The Apple type computers (with no anti-virus software installed) are subject to roughly 40.

Big difference.

The extras are more expensive, of course.

Worth it though.
