I am in college and would like to make a few friends. How do I make friends with males (I am female) without giving them the wrong signals, or appear to come on to them or scare them off completely. I'm not interested in relationships, just friendships. As I don't have any friends that are male, I really could use some advice. Any males that are 18-25, I could really use your point of view.

I need to add that I don't have female friends either. I am not a weirdo, it's just the way I was raised (very sheltered). I'm kinda like the female version of Bobby Boucher (Adam Sandler in Waterboy).

Frienship and relationship can not be totaly seperated.
so you jave to some interest. No one will like a friend who has no interest.Once you get to know each other u can express your feelings frankly but I very much doubt if any boy of your age group will eneter into Platonic Love.
so if I serious change your mindset. Why not talk to your mom about this.

Just be friendly but not too friendly. Most of my friends are male and I've never had to have the discussion saying that I just wanted to be friends.

You can't. The problem is what is in their head not yours. If they get the bee in their bonnett that they like you will have to alianate yourself from them to get it through to them that you don't like them. Get a girlfriend. (the kinky kind) and make it clear you don't like boys that way.. then you will be fine. If you can fight off the boys wanting the threesome.

It is all in your behavior. Keep your distance while being polite. Your friend can easily discern you are only for friendship and no more.

Start innocent conversations. go to mixed social events where the boys are not looking for sex. It is not as hard as you think.
