Im asking about those who cant afford private healthcare, as a nurse I see them all the time and feel saddened at the thought that some people will be left behind, and all because of poor management

Chill. the HS will collapse over my dead body. I have private health care to take the burden off them. Not because i am rich and want a better service, it to leave a bed free for some one who has not much money as me. I had a heart attack two years ago and HS were their to save me because i pay my National Insurance. That's why the HS was invented. All the greedy people that suck the system dry should be named and shamed, and made to pay the money back to the system. It's just as vile crime as murder, because in the long run that is what they will make happen, by their greed. They are stealing from everyone off us. I stand down from my soap box.

I think Bird Flu or a supper volcano along with globall warming may have something to do with the way we live in the next 50/100 years.
If the poor are too under privalaged the system in the uk wont hold steady, the governmanet has already stated that 25% of us need to be renting our homes to keep the middle classes happy, and affluent. That will keep things rosey in their eyes, and most of middle britain, but is it right.... No !
When fuel for our cars is to expensive and running out, we will have to start growing and buying local foods again, and i think there will be another social revolution. Aparentley the himmilayers are melting away, so south asia is going to have big problems in 50-100 years time, who knows what will happen, maybee we will all adopt love and peace do away with religions, war, greed, jealsosy and hatrid and have a great future.... I can here the bestivall going on out of my window!!! Good luck in your search for the future of us all and our healths *:)

When the n.h.s. was set up it was only meant to last 15/20 years max. In that time government was to provide employment for all through nationalising all major industries so people could afford to pay for their treatment. But like most socialist idea's it was full of flaws and we are left with a ruinously expensive bureacractic mess

NHS as in socialist health care? I imagine that the system will be reformed and maybe people won't have to wait 6 weeks to see a doctor anymore.

The National Health Service is for everyone, and it's only failing because the government is making it fail.

You don't believe people have it within themselves to survive without Govt, that is truly sad and hopefully not true.
