I'm a doctor and I used to interview candidates for Med School..
You get a mark for work experience in a hospital, interests and achievements like Duke of Edinburgh, (you're doing well so far!), grade predictions (if you get to interview then they must be satisfactory), good reason for wanting to be a doctor - 'money' and 'status' is generally frowned upon as an answer. Everyone says because they care about people and are interested in science - unoriginal but it ticks the box. Make the most of talking about St John, as it looks like you have already had a taste of Medicine and want to take it further.
Typical questions at interview - "what upsets you?" DON'T say "nothing" or you will look callous, or "well, I couldn't get the top off the milk this morning and just burst into tears" or you look like a stressed lunatic. You need to describe a weakness and then turn it into a strength. Other Q's - "how would you feel if you couldn't cure your patient and they died?" Again, "oh fine, not a problem" isn't the answer they're looking for. Something like "well, naturally that would upset me, but at the end of the day I know I can't cure all of my patients and doing the best I can with the knowledge and experience that I have is the most important thing" would be good.
Most importantly, try to relax and be yourself at interview! Its a long road - good luck!!!

Just start preparing for college, such as looking at a specific school that you might want to attend, while keeping a few back up colleges in mind. Try applying to a few just to see if you'll get in at first. Also, try to make yourself stand out from others; a high GPA is not always enough these days. You could possibly try and get your hands on anything that could give you an advantage over others students. Good luck.

Make sure you get straight A*s!
When you have those, the extra-curricular stuff you are doing will give you an advantage over the other people competing for the places!
so, although the other stuff is important, make sure you have time for studying - and having some fun as well!
