Arthur was a goalscoring legend for Shrewsbury Town in the late 1950s and early ‘60s. He passed away in December 2002 at the age of 76.
He scored more League goals in his career than any other player in history.
His record tally of 434 in 619 League matches was achieved with four different clubs over a period of 19 years. With West Bromwich Albion, Fulham, Leicester City and then Shrewsbury Town. A record that'll never be beaten might i add.
