I need to write a 4 page paper in my intro to business class... I'm going to write about accounting. I have no idea what to write about... there's so much to write about when it comes to accounting. My page can only be 4 pages long. I was going to write about the difference between financial and managerial accounting... but I don't know if that will be enough. Then I was going to write about how accounting is used for individuals and business owners as well as corporations, but then again, individuals (personal accounting) isn't really business. I just need ideas, NOT a paper. I can do the research myself... just at a writer's block... you know? Also, if anyone can suggest where I can get clip art that can be used would also be great!

how about the different designations of accountants, in Canada we have a cga - certified general accountant, small business, CMA - certifed management accountant, for industrial internal management stuff, and CA - chartered accountant - cream of the crop, can do it all plus the education involved in getting to these positions, they all require university education. a CA is like the brain surgeon of the business world. they are in school for many many years. not only could you fill up 4 pages on this, it will plan a route, path to follow for someone interested in accounting. or you could do the easy thing and look at chapter one of any accounting text, they talk about the differences between proprietor, partnership and corporations. you could fill 4 pages there easily too.

Perhaps you could visit a local business and interview them on their accounting standards.
