Most likely cause is worn out injector fuel distributor or injection pump. Either could be bad for engine bearings and make the motor oil less able to lubricate. And what the heck are we working on Kenworth or Vauxall? Year, Make Model, And anything that could help ? Yamsters want to know?

it is getting in through the injection pump possibly 3 ways 1] leak past plungers. 2]internal leak in transfer pump[cam type] 3] shaft seal of rotary pump[first section is low suction and leaks when engine is cut off] note all plunger pumps leak a little, but not much.

Might be an injector or blown head gasket. How many miles do you have on the vehicle?
