I dont think it's your heritage that makes you unaccepted. I tihnk it's the subculture that you identify with. For example, say you are mixed black and white. You like the whole rock scene, then you may not be accepted by the hip hop scene. Or if you like hip hop, you may not be accepted by the rockers. You may not be accepted by either sides if you are an individual. The point is, it's more about your personality and tastes which people incorrectly attribute to race.

Their is more than black and white . By the way this whole hupla with the shock of mix racing is a modern ideology . If you go back in history their was not this stigma in cultural civilizations .
Many people are mixed including celebrities , that you would never of thought about . Now just imagine with how many generations , how many people of different ancestory you did not know . IN many nationailities ...ie Italians and latins people come with different characteristics .From blond to dark hair and light complexions to dark .its nothing new ! Below is some sites that you would find really interestting . even the one with the twins ...one dark and one white !
ACCEPTABILITY - really depends on where one lives ! No experience is the same .
I am chinese from my dad side ! my mom is south american - like most south americans mixed !-hers is German , amerindean ,portugese and middle eastern . My chinese family by the way totally accepts us ! their is many that are chinese canadians and I also have family members in CHina
By the way Jacky I can see why your phillipino family would accept you . IN the phillipines many also have different cultures that are mixed in their family three.

My dad's chinese (yellow) and my mom's a Filipina (brown).
My mom's relatives/family are really nice to us (me and my brothers) and they treat us really well...
on my father side though, not all are very 'accepting'. Some of my dad's relatives really treats us very nice and they're really helping is in times of need. but there are some that ...due to their strict tradition still dont accept us as part of the clan.
