Only a matter of time, in my opinion, until you go to a shop with your memory stick and buy tracks and albums to put on your PC.

Memory Cards are More costly then CD.

If Memory cards can be used by masses at cheaper rate and more accesible then your idea will work

Those 'memory cards' you're referring to is called an Ipod/mp3 player. You buy one and you plug it into to your computer via a usb coard and choose the songs YOU want to hear on your mp3 player.

cheapest memory card is a 16mb one for £6.. and then the songs say, £4 each... you would be better buying a huge memory card and downloading from a pay-per-song site.....
