all states in india are safe for travel. If you are a non indin llease inform the police chief of the place you visit about your programme so that he can keep track of you and help you immediately

It sure is much safer than NYC or London or Madrid or many other cities the world over.

Go ahead and enjoy the royal palaces in Gujarat. BTW, i think rajasthan has many more grander palaces.

As safe as houses!!!! Only watch your valuables in the trains and on buses as you can have your pockets picked without you feeling a thing. I know someone that has it done regularly when he travels from Baroda to Bombay (Mumbai). there is usually a gang that pushes you and while you are being pushed around your pocket and valuables are being taken away from you. dont leave valuables laying around in hotel rooms or where servants can pick them up because sure as not they will and you will never see them again lollllGo and see the palace in Baroda...its lovely.

yes, it is safe. Contrary to popular belief, travel and stay in India are safe, except like in any other part of the world, you should be careful that your stuff dont get picked up.
