My husband of 8 yrs says he does want to kiss me until I and I quote "clean up my potty mouth" Is this a valid claim?? he is still affectionate and sweet so don't come back with he is cheating. Is he weird or what??

ok people I know what he means by potty mouth (I cuss a lot) my question is, is he full of it or does he have a valid claim?

I think that respect is at least if not more important in a marriage than love. I also think humility is pretty important too.
So I have to ask...
If all he is asking is that you clean up your language, why wouldn't you do it? This is a problem that can be fixed in a second... litter ally. Cleaning up your language would improve your husbands view of you, and improve the affection in your relationship. Lets face it, if your husband has noticed its a problem, others have as well, why not have the added benefit of increasing their respect for you as well.
This is such a little thing, why make an issue out of it? you know its the right thing to do, just do it.

Potty mouth means swearing or cursing.
I dont think he is weird, he must be offended by the language you use & the way you talk.

If your swearing bothers him as it seems it does then yes I would say he is trying to tell you something.... why not try to clean up the mouth and see what happens... if there is not change then ....well...sh&t.. go ahead and keep the mouth ;)

Maybe you just have bad breath, which every one can have, so what's wrong with cleaning it up? We only kiss each other down there if we had shower, having it clean makes it so much more pleasant...
