That is right on the borderline, It will depend on three things.
1-the position of the baby
2-the skill of the operator
3-the size of the woman

Generally speaking , if the baby is breech it will be difficult to see, If the woman is on the thinner side, it will be easier to see , Some techs won't make the call before 20 Weeks. Good luck!

The doctor will tell you if its to early. I trust ultrasounds but then again I dont. U could be even 20-25 weeks or something like that, and get a ultrasound and they could STILL be wrong. They told me the sex of my baby at 19 weeks, I think it was. I sure hope they are right. People are buying me all this girl stuff. If it turns out to be a boy Im going to kick that doctor in the thoat!! No lie! Baby stuff isnt cheap. But good luck with that ultrasound, its amazing what technology are do these days. Its a lovely thing to see your baby on the screen!!

I had my first at 17 weeks and they told me they were "pretty sure" but to wait until about week 20 to be sure. I have an ultrasound every week and I always ask (just to make sure) because I've heard the stories about supposed to be having a girl and the baby is born and it's a boy!! Lots of those stories out there, but I thing that week 20 would be a safe bet!!

NO! Although SOME doctors do not like telling you till you are further along. Mine had told me last week what I was having and I was only 13 1/2 weeks! He told me that he would check again to make sure he is right so DON'T rush out and start buying! I am only 15 weeks! CONGRATS!

ok im not 100 percent sure but i think you have to be at least 20 weeks and even then if the little bugger crosses its legs you may have to wait longer (like my sisters little girl) best advise go to get a 4d scan there much better cost about 80 pounds and you can see there faces arms legs mouth etc really clearly brilliant bonding good luck x

you can see the baby's genitals at seventeen weeks, that is if the baby is in the right position and if the baby's legs are out of the way enough

nope, they'll tell you the sex on that date unless the baby's bottom is stuck up in the air and they can't see anything!

congratulations on the pregnancy!
