not all of them do, look at all the other religions then , do all the women get respect?

It occurs in many more countries that in India subcontinent. All started when man went hunting and women stayed in the caves since man was more strong. And as the strongest he wanted to be obeyed from the weakest.

Its because these men keep "their women" uneducated and therefore unable to think for themselves

but their culture states give protection and get respect..
