Mac and Covergirl.

Mac is more pricey, but it's worth it, it stays on throughout MOST of the day.

And Covergirl is cheaper and works just as well.

I personally like Mary Kay and Maybelline. The reason I like Mary Kay is party because they have the best work ethic. Mary Kay Ash always told the people she was training that they needed to put God first, family second, and career third! I think that in and of itself says a lot about the company. Also, I like them becuase they have been the world's best skin care company for the past six years straight! They're also on the fortune 100 list too! My last reason for liking Mary Kay is that unlike drug store brands, you get a 100% satisfaction gaurantee and you get be person with a consultant, not just a wall of products to choose from! The reason that I like Maybelline, though, is because they are just as good quality as Mary Kay, but a little bit cheaper. If I don't have a money obligation, I'll get Mary Kay, but if my money's a little tight, I'll go with Maybelline. I hope that this helps you some!

I don't think there is one brand that is better than another. It all depends on your skin. What one person prefers and thinks is best might not even work with your skin. I prefer Avon myself. Although I am a bit biased because I sell Avon. But I wouldn't sell it if I didn't think it was good stuff. The good thing about Avon is that you can return it if it doesn't do well for you.

Acutally, my favorite brand of makeup is Icing from claires, because it's a heck of a lot cheaper than things like Avon or max factor, plus it has a natural flare to it and makes anyone look great.Try it!

whats best for other people may not be the best for you. you can't always stick to one brand also. like... the lipstick may not cause you allergy but the eyeshadow of the same brand can. you can try buying little by little. i've started with clinique and lancome and now i also use max factor, body shop, avon, and estee lauder. i find estee lauder strong sometimes. i even tried elizabeth arden and made my upper lip itchy. it's all trial and experiment to know what's best for your skin. while we grow older, the need of our skin changes too. most people are not allergic with clinique so you can start with that. max factor has improved over the years and i'm loving their products esp. the foundation. i stick with clinique when it comes to lipstick. with mascara, i go with maybelline, clinique for my eyeliner. so it's up to you to find what you think looks better on you and won't leave your face itchy and irritated. :)

lancome is amazing.
it can be a little pricey..but worth it.
you can get it at your local department store and usualy you can get a free "facial" where they demonstrate the products on your skin.
however you have to buy some of the products they use.
worth it if you ask me : )
they have the best mascara i have ever used in my life.
the cover-up is amazing.

just good products all around : )

however, they are more earth toned..
if you are looking for crazy colors i would go with mac.
also a great line.

good luck.happyshopping.
have funn : )

Avon. They have a great variety and colors-from bath and body, cleansing the face, make-up, to being a leader in anti-aging. Plus they have a money back guarantee if you don't like it.

Mac Makeup is the best it is a little costly but well worth the money. My face never breaks out from the makeup and it goes on smooth and easy.

Physician's Formula, Revlon or Max Factor. Don't waste your money on the department store(i.e. Mac, Clinique) cosmetics. You can find what you need in your local discount or drug store. You can also match many of the department store cosmetics to the ones I mentioned above and more.
