When answering with emotion as the base...the memories.
When answering with logic as the base...the picture.
People who hold the memories will die and the memories will die with them.
With today's technology, the picture will be with us forever. If printed, the paper is not biodegradable. If digital, it will live on, and on, and on...in cyber storage.
We would like to think that memories we leave with people will linger but...
With me personally...the memories will live longer because I don't have my picture taken. I hate cameras.

They go hand in hand, I just hope the pictures never out live the memories or the stories from the memories. The pictures help stir the memories and can sometimes be a discussion point to pass the memories to people that weren't even there like children. To me the true value of old pictures is the stories behind them which were once someones memory and now are a part of mine. So I hope the same go for the pictures of me - when people look at them they know the story that goes because that is so much better.

Pictures will show an accurate depiction of the event, but memories are often destorted to be remembered the way that the person want to. Pictures will last longer, but memories are more fun to look back on.

In the materail sense, I denfinetly beilieve that the picture will last longer. But on the personal level, I believe memories will last, pictures can be lost, memories are forever.

I think memories made with us....
Pictures may stay if only u keep them safely with you but still when you see them they remind of our memories and our past..

Well, I suppose that pictures will last longer, they might make you look beautiful thou the memories make you look more ugly,,,, so it all depends on who you are....L..

depends if you have a memory that is linked to the picture... pictures kind of represent memories, now that I think about it...

I honestly try to make every event I have with another, and with myself....a memorable one, I do not like photographs anyway, Posing is no fun, and mechanical, I much rather prefer an action moment than a still shot.
