For some reason all of the (supposedly) black letters on my computer are black and purple!! (some bits of letters black, some purple!) I know - weird!! I don't know if it's something I've done (most probably is!!) because I was playing around with the appearance settings. It's driving me nuts and is starting to make my eyes hurt because they keep trying to correct my vision!! Does anyone know what the hell I've done? (I don't!) I've got Windows Media Centre and my computer's about 5 months old. Was wondering how to set everything back to the default settings so I can start again. I've looked under Help and couldn't find anything, although it did say that it had default visual settings it didn't say how to get them. I'm a novice with all this computer stuff and hope I haven't stuffed up majorly!! Pleeeeease Help!!! :(

Try this:
Start --> Control Panel --> Network and Internet Connections --> Internet Options and there should be two buttons. One is colour and the other is font. Try ticking the USE WINDOWS COLOUR box

Try ipods website for all help with their products. or go to a Dick Smiths or computer place.

Try degaussing your monitor.
