first login to ur yahoo messenger.

Once you have it, click on the Add button, enter a person's email address or Yahoo! ID, and follow the on-screen prompts to add them to your list. You can also share all or parts of your Messenger List with others by selecting Share My Messenger List.

you click on 1 of your friends id on your list then you type your msg in the box then click send
if there not online they will see the msg the next time they login you can also join a yahoo chat room and chat to other people in there as well

First down load yahoo messenger if you dont have. Open Yahoomessenger and click contacts then click invite yahoo ID of people you have to chat with if they accept your invitation than you are redy to chat with them just by double click on their ID.

hi,first of all you should have a yahoo id and the other person must also have a yahoo id add that person to the yahoo messenger and send a invitation to that person after that you can chat with him.

When your "messenger window is open" click on "add contact" then on the next window that comes up fill in the blanks, with their information, and either click "next" and then another window will open, and you add something like " I want to add you to my friends list" next, I believe it says "send invitation" or "send" then all you have to do is wait for them to accept your invitation. just go on top to messenger and then go to yahoo chat and then go to join a room and then select the room and chat happily

u can by 1st adding ur contact's mail add in the messenger and when they come online their smiley turns yellow, so just click it and Voila u r ready to chat!

add your friend's name in your friend's listand ask him to do so.
and tell him to get online and logon to yahoo messenger then if he is online then start chatting
