My only child daughter is 5 years old (kindergarten). Playdates at other peoples houses are a problem. I get reports back about them playing like sisters....sibling rivalry, etc. Is this because my daughter is an only child or is it the nature of the age or is it the wrong match?

Keep close to her and love her more. You will get to understand her better

Your daughter is at the age of knowing what is right and what is wrong. Right now I would be present @ play dates, teach her when she is doing something she shouldn't and praise her when she is doing something correctly. Get her involved with more play dates and in addition check out preschool.

it gets easier, whatever you do dont stop her playing with other kids, she needs to learn, teach her about sharing and taking turns to play with toys.
