my boyfriends in jail soon to be prison and he needs a divorce asap. and how do i go about obtaining a marriage liscense after?

My understanding is that jail and prison are the same thing?? Mind you I have never had anything to do with the wrong side of the law so I could be wrong - what you have said doesnt make a lot of sense to me for the above reason but you dont give much in the way of details - I suppose the best people to ask would be someone in the prison system like a counsellor or what ever they have there for family to speak to for guidance - Im left though wondering why he needs a divorce ASAP and why you want to marry him - The first thought that came to mind was that he is one of the millions in prison that didnt do it??

for all intents and purposes there is no such thing as an ASAP divorce. The usual time frame is the legal separation date plus six to 12 months. If minor children are involved it could take a lot longer

get a lawyer to get the divorce then go to the town he is in jail at then file for a marriage then go to the head guy of the jail to ask for a date you can get married it is that simple my brother did it in person good luck my brothers marriage didn't last that long
