She or he? Interesting.
Anyhow, they sale a nail product which allows you to
apply it to the nails which tastes awful. Buy and use
some of that and that should stop the habit.

Dismiss last answer I know plenty of adults who suck thier thumbs or fingers. Me being one. I never had a dummy as a child and I suck my index finger I am now 24 yrs old. Although when I was younger my mum said I did it constantly. Now it is a comfort thing I do when I cant sleep feeling ill or tired. I have out grown walking around with it in my mouth. Nail soulotion does not work and the need for ur finger to be in ur mouth is greater and u'll just suck that horrible flavour off. Your child may never out grow it but will certainly do it less and less. What harm does it cause. (cutting the end of my finger with a knife - accident - did not stop me as soon as it was healed my finger was back in my mouth)

Don't fret too much, he'll get over it. How many adults do you see sucking there fingers? It's a comfort thing and if you get on his case too much it could make his do it more (for a while).
You don't say how old he is but I'm guessing under 10 yrs.
As he grows and meets others, he'll see they don't do it and probably give up this habit.
Do you smoke? If you do I'd stop as soon as you can because he might copy you and put something far worse than fingers in his mouth.
