my son is 15 and he wants to get one but ive asked him to wait till next yr when he is 16 and finished school, if he still feels the same way about wanting to get one then i wont stand in his way but ive made him promise if he gets one to have it in a place he can cover like uper arm or shoulder for work purposes.

NO!!!!!! When I was 15 I wanted to get a tattoo on my hand, All I can say is, as an adult, I am SO GLAD that I didn't go through with that. I don't have anything against tattoos, I do have one myself, but the thing is, the types of things a person is interested in at 15 aren't the same as when you are 25. It's not a decision that should be taken lightly. No way would I let a kid get a tattoo.

A tattoo is a scar.... its simply done with colours, so its a colourfull scar. Would you really want your child to have a scar. At 15 we don't know what we want or like, minds change as fast as fashion. This may be something thatis regretted when the hormones calm down. Wait until he is 18 which is the legal age for a reason. Sometimes things go wrong, would you feel bad or guilty if it went septic, or was infected. What about when he's older he may not like that tattoo and hold you responsible. He may not like it now but im sure he'll respect you more for it hen he is older.

No. 15 years is not old enough to make an intelligent decision about something that will be on his body for the rest of his life. Once he's 18 then he can do what ever he likes with his body. Can you picture him coming to you when he's 35 years old and saying "why did you let me get that tattoo of Daffy Duck on my chest when I was 15?"

Talk it out with him. not as an elder but a friend. make him understand how permanent it is and that he might regret it later (might get bored or it might go out of fashion) also make him realize that its a painfull process.
still if he wants to do it, make sure u take him tro a professional and a reliable place (for asurance against conaminated needeles being used) also advice getting a small tattoo that too at body parts which can be flaunted as well as easily covered, depending on the mood.

I honestly wouldn't .. wait until he is more mature and in addition that the tattoo has a meaning to him. I didn't get mine until I was in my 20s. He wouldn't want to be stuck with a tattoo for the rest of his life .. especially if it didn't have meaning.

I'd make him wait until he's 16 or close to 16. That's what age I promised my daughter she could get one but she might get it a few months earlier. It just has to be tasteful and in an area that she can easily cover, yet not in an inapropriate place. She's thinking about a dancing teddy bear (Grateful Dead symbol) on her shoulder.

kids go tattoo dun mean they turning bad or wat, maybe u can talk to them n understand wats they reason they want a tatto
its something so common now tat its not like last time where ppl with tattoo is from some gangs or whatsoever
if they have a healthy thinking of tattoo,i've no problem with it at all!!!

no... odds are what he wants to get at 15 won't be something he will want for the rest of his life. I have 15 tattoos and my husband is heavily tattooed... our kids will not be allowed to get tattooed until they are 18

never
he will out grow it and look like a retard. plus there are rules about getting one before you are 18 in most countries.
make a deal with him that you get to pick the tattoo if he really ones on still make sure its something totally embarrassing you dont want your kid going to school pretending to be some thug bad ***.
why else would a 15 year old want or need one?
let him wait like everyone else he can draw on his arms if he needs art there
