Natural products instead of man made chemicals.

An example of a "green" insecticide would be a spray of water that has had tobacco leaves soaking in it for a few days.

Pyrethrum would be a good example. It's a plant extract that kills many insects, with little impact on surrounding plants, animals or humans.

Pyrethrum is derived from a plant closely related to the chrysanthemum, and hybrids are also used as ornamental plants.
