The purpose of life is so that God may know Himself experientially.

Since God does not have a body, as we know it, He has created us so that He can experience what He knows.

To put it in human terms, we can understand the concept of "hot" - something having a high temperature. But until we FEEL hot, it we only have an intellectual understanding of what it is. Once we experience HOT, we know it on a deeper level.

God knows anger, love, jealousy but we are here, as extensions of God in physical form so the He may experience those things.

There is a book caled "Man's Search for Meaning", by Viktor Frankl, a psychiatrist who survived Auschwitz. His point is that, if life is to have meaning and a purpose, it is up to us to put it there ourselves; to make our own lives purposeful and meaningful.

This is obvious, but not many people realize that.

"Life" is about strengthening the gene pool. Life is evolution driven, despite the lies fundamentalist Christians would have you believe, by the way I do not deny the existence of GOD, I just do not believe GOD wasted its time specifically creating Planet Earth. During the time planet earth has been in existence, approximately 4.5 billion years, millions of species have come into and gone out of existence. All species breed to strengthen their gene pools in order that the species will survive. That is what life is about.

Life is for learning to be your best, to serve your maker and to serve others. It is not about who dies with the most toys or how many people you have used.
I think each person has their own lessons to learn, and if you were put in my life, than there is something that we are supposed to learn from that experience to help us later with something else.
