Yes you can breast feed as long as you are producing milk. I used to express milk into bottles for my youngest so that I could go places without her. She did not like the bottles and as soon as I walked in the house would stop taking the bottle and cry for me until I sat down to nurse her. She didn't like pacificers but my oldest did and she would still nurse.

by all means!!! many premie babies start out on bottles (of pumped breast milkif poss) and they use binkies to calm them during painful procedures, and many many breastfeed once strong enough to do so. Try your local la leche league-they arelisted in ohbook an dhave a number to call 24/7 usually also they have support groups that meet regularly.
if there is any question of yr baby not gaining weight or being dehydrated when starting out breast feeding , you may need help of pediatrician or a lactation counselor from local hospital or WIC program if you arein that in the USA. Good luck

my son was an emergency c-sec...they fed him with a bottle and I had a hard time...but I persevered and he took and I breast fed him for a month....yeah it was nice bonding but he was a big baby and I couldn't do it anymore....my concern was the nutrients our formulas lacked....breast milk has DHA..our formulas did not... I used to buy it from my work in a microalgea form and squirt it into his bottle... now some formulas have added it...if you dont' breast feed

Of course you can! I breast fed AND gave my son a bottle (small one) and a pacifier. He will tell you if he doesn't want either one, believe me! Enjoy your son, he will grow rather fast. You sound like a great Mom to be concerned. Have fun!

Sure can. My daughter would switch between the bottle and the breast very willingly.

Can you give us more details? How old is the baby? How long have they been bottle fed?

You should be able to but it would help us if you could give us more info.
