Interesting things:
1: George Washington was in charge of the British forces in the opening engagement of the Seven Years' War (French and Indian in US), and regarded aas an excellent officer when he left the British Army.

2: Vancouver was nearly a US city. The Brits and Americans jointly administered what would become British Columbia for over a decade. Also, "54-40 or fight" was never a campaign slogan; it was uttered by a senator on the senate floor.

3: E=mc2 didn't just make it possible for the atomic bomb to be built, it also dictates that the closer you approach the speed of light, the more of you mass will convert to energy. In other words, you and your ship will shrink.

4: The VW Beetle was originally the KDF Wagon. Hitler wanted Ferdiand Porche to design a car capable of going 100km/h, at a cost of 1000 Reichsmarks. Henry Ford was an admirer of Hitler, and used to wire him money for his birthday.

5: Most organisms have iron based blood whihc is red. An octupus and squid have copper-based blood which is blue. Having McCoy refer to Spock as green blooded s one of the few mistakes Roddenberry made. spock's blood would have been cerulean.

Did you know that today, Sunday, September 10, 2006, is the 253rd day of the year, with 112 days remaining in 2006?

National Holidays of this day are:
Switzerland: Kaseteilet.
Bulgaria: Liberation Day.
China: Teachers' Day.

That on the same day in the year 1846 - Elias Howe received a U.S. patent for the first sewing machine?

And in 1913 - First paved coast-to-coast road, named the Lincoln Highway, opened in the U.S!

Also on the same day in 1966 - The "Road Runner Show" premiered!!??

And on Sept. 10th 1993 "X-Files" debuted!

Exactly six years ago Broadway's longest-running production, "Cats," closed after more than 7400 performances!

Can you believe that tomorrow is the sad memory of Sept 11 attacks that happened FIVE years ago! Man time passes FAST!
Interesting huh!? ;-)
