women but only men with men. Is this true?

.Are there any verses in the Bible that specifically refer to or forbid women with women sex?

She said she was in the seminary and studied this and ancient languages and that she doesn't believe from her studies that the Bible is talking about gay sex in the various verses per se (leviticus, i cor, i tim, etc but rather is referring to temple prostitutes (male).

I asked her because I don't know any gay people and I was at a political event and I knew she was a Christian and gay. I had gotten on the subject because I got if a debate with people about gays and salvation on a chat line discussion and wasn't sure how to respond to someone's post and wanted the prespective of someone who was gay.

I never heard this and was kind of shocked and would like to know if it is true lesbianism is not mentioned or condemned.

do you know what it says or have the verses..thanks

Romans 1:26-27 says "God let them follow their own evil desires. Women no longer wanted to have sex in a natural way, and they did things with each other that were not natural. Men behaved in the same way. They stopped wanting to have sex with women and had strong desires for sex with other men. They did shameful things with each other." That was the contemporary english version of the bible. God does love His children, all of them. But He sure hates sin.

basically 2 comments: a million) How come those "Christians" are against comparable-intercourse marriage? indexed right here are those few homosexuals who prefer to dedicate to a minimum of one yet another! Their relationship isn't certainly one of lust yet of affection and committment. Why are those people unfavourable to that? 2) The Bible holds NO condemnation for comparable-intercourse loving relationships! the only element you could glean from the passages interior the Bible, while translated properly, is that ANY intercourse that's born of lust, and which procedes from leaving at the back of God is incorrect. ok so I lied, right here is variety 3) All you bigoted, intollerant ************** accessible, provide up pretending to be Christian once you could no longer enable a real loving relationship exist. Use some hassle-free sense for as quickly as. actual love can not be incorrect. and stop thinking which you individually can talk over with God after which dictate to something of the international what he's meant to sentence. ================================ and BK: Who elected YOU God? You state: "however the life style separates them from God and God's order. that's what concerns me." You look to no longer have the slightest ability to comprehend what love and committment skill. A loving dedicated relationship in no way separates every person from God. it rather is stable for the people in touch, and robust for our society. provide up mouthing your lack of expertise and bigotry. You state: "many stuff that are volatile: premarital intercourse, advertising of violence and indecency, self above others, unbridled greed... those are issues which will smash down what's a useful order of society. Freedom comes with duty." this is so astonishing. yet i could upload, intollerance, bigotry, and merchandising injustice is likewise incorrect. and that's precisely your on line business. Homosexuality is neither stable or undesirable. purely the movements of people are. There are lustful people between gay people besides as heterosexuals. yet how approximately allowing those gays who prefer to help duty, committment, and kin values have the help FROM YOU to do basically that? provide up being a hypocrite!

Tell this person to read Romans1:24-26 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, To dishonor their own bodies between themselves. Who changed the truth of God into a lie & worshipped & served the creature more than the CREATOR, who is blessed forever, A-men.26: For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature. Now I could give many more verses.

That's not true! Men and women it's a sin. Usually when it says men it also means women too. Like when I talk to a group of boys and girls I say "guys" It doesn't mean that I am not talking to the girls.

Verses: Romans 1:26,27 and Leviticous 18:22

While English Bibles don't refer to lesbianism in the sense that it refers to it either by "woman-on-woman action" or by "lesbianism", she deceives herself in the same error of the Pharisees by trying to use the letter of the law to escape the spirit of righteousness.

Consider the following passage...

"Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men, committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due." - Romans 1: 24-27

The wording of verses 26 and 27 somewhat suggests that it is actually lesbianism that occured first before male homosexuality, though that is a bit of a stretch. Regardless, homosexuality (regardless of the genders in question) is not only regarded as a sin but as a product of the person's own sinfulness / rejection of God.

"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?" - Romans 6: 1-2

As for her "claim" (I use this questionably as I do not know her personally; she may truly be a scholar, but that further strengthens the following) of being a Biblical scholar, do note that the most notorious of disclaimers to the Christian faith are these scholars. Just because they claim knowledge doesn't make them any more or less Christian...

"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord," shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!" -Matthew 7: 21-23

I apologize for the harshness of my words, but such atrocities done using the name of the Lord cannot be taken lightly...

Homosexual Christian? Does that even sound right to you? You're friend is not even close to being right! You can not justify being a homosexual and thats what she's trying to do. Thats like saying a homosexual priest, you can't get around the Bible!

If God thought being gay was wrong, she wouldn't have made them.
