We didn't catch that weirdo in Thailand; he turned himself in because he's sick and obsessed with JonBenet Ramsey and wanted attention. It was pathetic that he was given so much media coverage and wasted taxpayers money by being extradicted first to California, where he was put in a solitary cell (more money) heavily guarded anytime he moved (more money), extradicted to Colorado (more money) then had a preliminary hearing (more money) just to prove what everyone already knew: that he was lying. Osama bin Laden however, is a hero to millions of people outside America and due to unconditional loyalty, he has no problem for finding new places to hide constantly and since he is a billionaire, he doesn't need to go to an open hospital for dialysis like regular people. His followers would give their own lives to keep the U.S. from finding him. Don't you read newspapers?

A lot of child molesters they don't catch. If there were a few thousand Osama bin Ladens running around I'm sure they'd have caught a handful of them by now. It's not really a fair comparision.

1) Because child molesters are hunted down by professionals trained to do just that... law enforcement. Law officials are trained and skilled at tracking individuals. In the case of Osama, we are using tools that were not designed for the job. The military is not trained nor are they supposed to be used to hunt specific individuals... They deal in targeting bases, and communications infrastructures and large groups of hostiles.

2) Because unlike Osama, who has a LOT of money and a large support group of faithful followers who are willing to help, and die, for him a child molester generally doesn't have a very deep support structure. They are usually pretty much on their own...

There are far more people who need dialysis (a common complication from a disease that's an epidemic - diabetes) than child molesters, who are a tiny percentage of the population and due to their actions, will inevitably attract attention.

Besides, Osama has thousands of followers, and millions of supporters who are willing to help keep him from being found...
