does that mean you will be getting the £100K a year in addition to any other private work you do (like braces..etc)? i dont understand what is rata and who is the private pateints ... please if you are a dentist explain. thanks

It means you get a share of the 100k depending on your hours.

Not quite enough information to give a proper answer.
The contract could be anything! And that might not be 100K in your hands there will be deductions like staff wages, materials, lab bills, fuel and light.
