No-one in a UK hospital has been placed there certainly in the last 20 years in a straight-jacket - it is an urban myth perpetuated by scenes from movies

No! But it took 4 cops to get me into the cop car so they could take me to the hospital.They shot me up with Thorazine and I woke up 4 days later in a cage with quad restraints!!!

No. I've never seen one used in my time at the mental hospitals (in my training) either.

No, but from what I've seen in movies, it is a sad-fact and I hope never happens to me or one of my loveones.
