Normally I keep silent because if I yell back it would increase the tension... I just go to my bedroom and even they come to yell at me again I keep silent... so they finally give up.
Sometimes I talk with quiet and calm tune while they are shouting...so they do the same later.
It is just a practice... It would work out if you do it well.

Wait until all the yelling stops... then talk to them when everyone has released some steam. It's natural to either be defensive or submissive, your defensive hense you defend yourself by arguing back. If your parents track you down then obviously they're level of maturity isn't functioning.

My advise is: Try to control your temper. Only when you are able to keep your cool, that you can gain the respect of those who lose their temper at you. It takes maturity to reach that level.
When we lose our cool, we tend to be irrational and cannot discuss anything logically. Right? Once we give in to our emotions, we will appear cish to the others.
When you about to blow, tell the others calmly that you are going out for a walk. You will only discuss things when everyone is cool.
Bet you your relationship will improve and your life will be happier after this! Contact me direct at: geokteck@gmail.com if you need further help.

Calmly say that right now you are upset and need some time to yourself. To please respect you on that .. In addition talk to them before hand that when your upset that you need that moment and when you are calmer you are free to talk about it.
