I first tried it in high school in failed attempts to be cool and it made me nauseous. Its an acquired taste which I didn't acquire until I was in my 20's. Its now a great way to acquire a beer belly.
The flavor is really hard to describe. It tastes like it smells?

Wet, dry, bready, malty. There are so many beers it's an impossible question to answer. If you have noticed that one glass of water can taste very different to another, you'll understand what I mean.
Guinness, for example, is a very heavy, dark taste if compared to lager, a light, fizzy brew.

Joey,
It like a coke with out sugar and if you drink it warm it's like (i did not taste but) pee.If you drink it cold it do not live a bad taste in your tongue and make you feel fresh.
I am not German but German people are the specialist about it because they have lot's of beer factory.Expecially in Bavaria...
Meybe they are feeling different...
But for me you do not miss to drink beer...

It's impossible to compare it to anything you have already tasted if you've not already tasted beer.
Just try it yourself and be done with it.
