Electrical activity is essential to the beating heart. This activity is stopped in bypass surgery with the addition of a solution that is high in potassium called cardioplegia. The high level of potassium hyper polarizes the heart muscle, preventing it from contracting and reducing the energy needs of the heart. The heart is now still enough for the surgeon to bypass the blocked arteries with either arterial or venous grafts harvested from the patient. The heart lung machine keeps the blood oxygenated and circulating during this time.
At the completion of the grafting, the cardioplegia is washed out of the heart and the potassium levels return to normal. the heart is once again able to beat, though sometimes a temporary pacemaker is used if the heart is beating too slowly.
In general, the muscular cells of the heart generate their own electrical current with specialized heart cells controlling the heart rate and electrical potential coming from differences in sodium, calcium, and potassium ions across the cell membranes.

Coronary bypass surgery is a common procedure used to divert blood around blocked arteries in the heart and it is not supposed to alter the heart's electrical activity but instead it is suppose to improve the electrical activities if it was previously altered due to arteries blockage. Right after the operation,the heart resumes its usual function where artery supplies blood to different parts of the heart muscle and the electrical system so normally correcting some artery blockage through bypass surgery will make the electrical system of the heart to perform better not unless its electrical system itself is with defect.

The human heart has it's own clusters of nerve cells, known as the sinoatrial node, that act as a regulator for the rate at which it beats. It starts each heartbeat and sets the heartbeat pace for the whole heart.
Once a human heart is started, it normally continues to beat entirely unaided. The only thing the brain has to do is say when to beat faster or beat slower.
If you disconnect a heart from the blood supply it's using for it's own muscle, once the oxygen levels in the heart fall too low, beating slows to nearly nothing or stops completely. As soon as you restore that flow, oxygen levels increase and the sinoatrial node comes back into play - restarting the beating of the heart.

Electrical activity of the heart is an internal matter. Coronary artery bypass graft is done on the heart externally using artery or vein and hence its electrical activity is not affected.

perhaps they use impel lent drug mid creation of electric shock ,while they create vacuum environs the heart to retain it,s beat .but I,m not sure .
